Wilderness First-Aid

First-Aid Training courses

Each year we coordinate training for Wilderness First-Aid certification, and CPR + Refresher certification.

Both training courses are delivered by Wilderness First-Aid Australia and take place in Adelaide, South Australia. These courses include incident management scenarios and are suitable for those currently working or looking to work in an outdoor leadership role. Training is provided both in the classroom and in the field at Belair National Park.

3 Day Wilderness First-Aid Course

Units covered include:

• • HLTAID011 Provide first aid

  • SISOFLD004 Provide first aid in remote locations

  • SISXEMR004 Coordinate emergency responses

  • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

  • A night session is included 7:00pm to 9:00pm

  • In addition students will need to undertake pre-course online learning (12-16 hours)

  • Upon successful completion you’ll be issued with a Nationally Accredited ‘Statement of Attainment’ provided by Australian Institute of Leadership and Safety (AILS) RTO # 45354

1 Day CPR and Refresher Course

Units covered include:

• • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

  • This course also includes practical scenarios involving incident management. Designed as a refresher for those that have previously studied Remote/Wilderness First-Aid

  • Upon successful completion you’ll be issued with a Nationally Accredited ‘Statement of Attainment’ provided by Australian Institute of Leadership and Safety (AILS) RTO # 45354
