Our ‘Wise Women Walking™’ women’s walking group and events.

With a theme of ‘Find Yourself, Be Yourself, Challenge Yourself’, these experiences are designed for women to reflect, nurture and celebrate their identity. We do this by offering short walks, day walks, personal development activities, weekend hiking getaways, and multi-day trekking trips within Australia and overseas. Aiming to increase confidence, skills and fitness while achieving positive mental health outcomes… we walk for well-being! Our Wise Women Walkers feel a sense of achievement, empowerment, and share their journey with a small group of like-minded and inspiring women. All walks and activities are designed as beginner, intermediate or experienced so you can choose the women’s walking group events that match your fitness level and interest.

Our walks and activities are guided by our experienced outdoor leaders who are certified in remote area first aid and bush-walking leadership. All leaders carry a group first-aid kit, emergency communications device, emergency documentation and equipment.

Women’s Day Walks operate all year round. During the the cooler months we hike on bush trails, and in summer we head to urban and coastal areas. We visit all the wonderful National Parks, Conservation Parks, and Forest Reserves that surround Adelaide. Each destination offers varying terrain and unique experiences. The trails we choose include many that only the local residents know of, so they are quiet. Allowing our women’s walking group time to connect with nature and spot wildlife. Our group sizes are small which means our walks are relaxed and we look after the environment. Our aim is to leave the trails cleaner as we walk through, so you may see our leaders picking up rubbish left by others. To view and register for our upcoming walks, click on our Calendar above.

Women’s Weekenders are bespoke 3 or 4 night small group getaways. We travel to beautiful South Australian and Western Victorian destinations. The regions we visit provide amazing walking opportunities and local hospitality. Each destination offers varying terrain and unique experiences. Each weekender includes pack free guided walks catering for varying abilities. Comfortable transport and comfortable accommodation is all included. Our aim is to support local businesses so visits to wineries/distilleries, eateries and cafes is also included.   To view and book on our upcoming Weekenders, click here.

Women’s Micro Adventures are beginner multi-day hikes with 1 night overnight camping. As our hikes are pack carrying we walk on easier bush trails. The locations we visit include National and Conservation Parks and Forest reserves within South Australia. Our Micro Adventures are educational and fully supported. You will gain basic skills and learn about hiking gear and how to use it. As these trips are an introduction to pack carrying and camping we limit participant numbers to 8 on each trip. Being a small group allows plenty of time to provide personal advice and assistance. To view and book on our upcoming Micro Adventures, click here.

Women’s Trips are our longer hiking and trekking adventures. We travel to iconic walking trails within Australian and overseas. Each destination offers varying terrain and unique experiences. Each trip includes pack free or pack carrying guided walks and opportunities to learn and sample the local cuisine and culture. Insuring maximum enjoyment we get you ‘trip ready’ before you go with specific information nights, training walks, and access to discounted specialised equipment and clothing. We can also help with any additional flights or travel arrangements pre and post trek. To view and book on our upcoming Trips, click here.

Women’s Knowledge Building events are held throughout the year. These events empower our Wise Women Walking group community by providing opportunities to learn in a relaxed and friendly environment. To view and book on our upcoming Knowledge Building events and workshops, click here.

Strong Daughters adventures are multi-day hikes with 1 night overnight camping. These hikes are designed exclusively for young girls and their mothers. As the hikes are pack carrying we walk on easier bush trails. The locations we visit include National and Conservation Parks and Forest reserves within South Australia. Our Strong Daughters adventures are educational and fully supported. Daughters will gain basic skills and knowledge about overnight hiking.  To view and book on our upcoming Strong Daughters adventures, click here.
