Women’s Day Walks

Women’s Day Walks operate all year round. During the the cooler months we hike on bush trails, and in summer we head to urban and coastal areas. We visit all the wonderful National Parks, Conservation Parks, and Forest Reserves that surround Adelaide. Each destination offers varying terrain and unique experiences. The trails we choose include many that only the local residents know of, so they are quiet. Allowing our women’s walking group time to connect with nature and spot wildlife. Our group sizes are small which means our walks are relaxed and we look after the environment. Our aim is to leave the trails cleaner as we walk through, so you may see our leaders picking up rubbish left by others. To view and register for our upcoming walks, head to the WWW Club website.

Women’s Micro Adventures

Women’s Micro Adventures are multi-day hikes that involve pack carrying and sleeping in tents. Some adventures are rated easy for beginners and others hard for experienced hikers. Overnight is spent on the trail camping and you will be required to carry a 60-75Ltr pack (weight varies). The locations we visit include National Parks, Conservation Parks and Forest reserves within South Australia. Our Micro Adventures are educational and fully supported. You will gain basic skills and learn about hiking gear and how to use it. We limit participant numbers to 8 on each trip. Being a small group allows plenty of time to provide personal advice and assistance. So why not challenge yourself and choose your upcoming Micro Adventure.

Women’s Walking Trips

Wise Women Walking Trips are our longer hiking and trekking adventures. On these trips, we travel to iconic walking trails within Australian and overseas. Our destinations offer varying terrain and unique experiences. They also provide opportunities to learn and sample local cuisine and culture. Our trips are pack free walking tours, but we do offer pack carrying alternatives. Either way, we get you ‘trip ready’ before you go with specific information nights, training walks, and access to discounted specialised equipment and clothing. We can also help with any additional flights or travel arrangements pre and post trek. So, spoil yourself and recharge on one of our Wise Women Walking Trips.

Knowledge Building

Have you ever wondered how to use a compass or read a trail map? These skills are important. Especially if you walk alone, or if you are planning to walk new bush trails. If the answer is yes, then we can help you. Our women’s Knowledge Building events teach you these skills and more. They are designed to empower our Wise Women Walking group community. By providing opportunities to learn in a relaxed and friendly environment. With events and workshops held throughout the year, choose one that interests you.

Strong Daughters

Our children need to connect with nature. That said, a connection made by playing on a nature playground is not enough. So, to help girls feel comfortable and confident in themselves and the natural environment we created Strong Daughters. Strong Daughters are multi-day hiking adventures with 1 night overnight camping. These hikes are designed exclusively for young girls and their mothers. As the hikes are pack carrying we walk on easier bush trails. The bush trails we visit are within National Parks and Forest reserves within South Australia. All our Strong Daughters adventures are educational and fully supported. Daughters will gain basic skills and knowledge about overnight hiking.
