Micro-adventures provide women an opportunity to experience overnight camping and multi-day hiking.
Perfect introduction for those who want to be self sufficient but lack the gear, or perhaps for those wanting to feel the satisfaction of achieving an overnight hike for the first time! On this overnight hike we teach you how to manage your backpack, erect a tent, and cook a light weight meal. We also share hiking tips along the way.
We supply most gear including backpacks, tents ‘1 & 2 person’ (or bring your own), sleeping rolls, stoves, fuel, and food. You will need to bring a sleeping bag (speak to us if you dont have one) and any personal items. Remember to bring rain proof clothing and warm layers and/or sun protection depending on the weather forecast.
You will hike (approximately 16km) over two days carrying belongings in a 60-75 litre backpack. Trails will be undulating with hilly sections through native bush-land and forest. Guided by our experienced and certified Outdoor Leaders. All leaders will carry a group first-aid kit, emergency communications device, emergency documentation and equipment.
