Walk your team to better health and productivity

Corporate Guided Walks

Fast-paced is a term often associated with the corporate world. A high-energy environment can be exciting, but in the long term it can take its toll on our health if we don’t make time to slow down and recharge.

Simple pleasures such as slow exercise and escaping from our screens, for just an hour or two, brings huge positive benefits for our wellbeing. And walking is one of the easiest and most accessible ways to do this.

Adding a qualified guide to a walk not only meets OHS requirements, it also helps take away the barriers that members of an organisation can feel. By it’s nature, walking promotes more open communication, is non-competitive, and a guide creates an equaling team ethos as the guide takes the leading role. For these reasons, incorporating a guided team walking program as part of a wellbeing strategy, is becoming an important cog for many organisations around the globe.

Our Approach

Corporate walks are non-competitive immersive outdoor team building activities to enhance workplace wellbeing. They’re an alternative to fast-paced games and physical challenges, high-energy gym sessions, or runs that are squeezed in between meetings. The principles are simply about the team (1) becoming present, (2) escaping the workplace and (3) switching off from technology. The act of walking provides a physical benefit, but more importantly, its how and where we walk that aids mental health. Through corporate walks, organisations provide time for their people to improve their wellbeing, and bond meaningfully with their team. A time during the day that doesn’t encroach on opportunities to spend with friends and family.

  1. Becoming present – walking at a comfortable pace allows for easy communication, mindful moments, deeper breathing, and controlled heart rate
  2. Escape the workplace – a chance to breathe fresh air without the background noise and subconscious thought of interruptions. A bad day can become better with some time away.
  3. A break from technology – with a guide managing the logistics and timing, minds can relax and be free for the duration of the walk.

Customised Programs
Our guided Corporate Walks are designed for your organisations specific needs and your location, they’re flexible. Walks can cater for the benefit of staff, clients, or organisational members. Also, a Forest Bathing session can be included with your Corporate Walk for a fully immersive half day wellbeing experience for your team!

Helping Your People

Australia has a culture of working hard, arguably too hard. Too many people now work in an unhealthy manner, and if left unchecked, these bad habits and being sedentary pose a real risk to their wellbeing.

Safe Work Australia identified mental health conditions as the fastest growing cause of workers’ compensation claims in recent years. They also report that mental health conditions are one of the costliest forms of workplace injury, leading to significantly more time off work and higher compensation paid when compared to other injuries and diseases.

As such, organisations are now taking greater involvement in the health of their people.
