Wild South Coast Way

Self-Guided

Hiking the Wild South Coast Way self-guided is always an adventure. The ‘Wild South Coast Way’ is a 74km coastal trail on Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. Starting from Cape Jervis the trail follows the Southern Ocean along towering cliffs and inland trails to Victor Harbor.

The walk takes you along rugged coast, seven unspoilt beaches, and through the spectacular Deep Creek and Newland Head Conservation Parks. It also shares its route with the Heysen Trail which journeys 1200km to the Flinders Ranges.

You can sample the ‘Wild South Coast Way’ with a 3 day self-guided package. Or tackle the full trail over 5 days.

Packages are suitable for solo walkers, couples, families and walking groups. The larger your group the cheaper per person, as pricing works on a sliding scale.

Your walking package includes a comprehensive walking kit with maps, trail transfers, and a choice of accommodation each night. You can either use the walk-in campsites or stay nearby in an ocean view apartment with spa. We can also supply you with lightweight hiking food (preservative free) which is manufactured and packaged here in South Australia, with the majority sourced from South Australian farmers <view menu>.

So come and experience South Australia’s Wild South Coast Way of life.

Testimonials

“Early fall, I enjoyed four days hiking on the Wild South Coast Way. Lisa and Ian thoughtfully arranged compact food, lovely campsites, flawless transfers, and trail information. They’re highly conversant about the places I passed through, the wildlife there and human context. Without them, I would not have had such rich experiences in remote areas on my first visit to the region. I appreciate Big Heart Adventures for trip planning and connecting me with local advice and a professional contact for any problem or situation outdoors”
