We offer a variety of twilight hikes along stunning bush trails and through forest reserves. These walks are a great way to de-stress and to get a nature boost mid-week.

Twilight hikes operate on Wednesday nights and require head torches as they finish after sunset. They are a great way to explore Adelaide’s bush trails at night. It is a completely different experience. Also, the routes we walk are different to our regular day time walks.

All our twilight hikes are designed for great views as the sun settles down over picturesque Adelaide. Destinations are always changing and the walking time is generally 3 hours. They are rated moderate and do include a challenging hill section.

For your peace of mind, all walks are guided by 2 experienced Big Heart Adventures Leaders who are certified in remote area first aid. All leaders carry a group first-aid kit, emergency communications device, emergency documentation and equipment.

The following items are required:

  • Head torch as we do return after sunset
  • Boots/comfortable walking shoes
  • Water (1-2 Ltrs)
  • Snacks
  • Wet weather gear dependant on forecast
  • Blister kit/personal medication
  • Warm clothing for after the walk (jumper/jacket)
  • Hiking poles (optional)

We walk for not just physical but also positive mental health outcomes. Our walks are all about fun, fitness and friendship – not a personal training session. If we can’t walk and talk at the same time we are walking too fast. And we never leave anyone behind.

Minimum age requirement is 15 years old if accompanied by a supervising adult.
