Day 1 | Depart Adelaide / Welcome To Country / Walk The Yorke Trail

Our journey today will start at 7:30am in the Adelaide CBD.

Our private vehicle takes us to Yorke Peninsula where we are Welcomed To Country by the local Narungga people. Then we make our way to the southern most point …..stopping in at a delightful little chocolate shop on the way.

After lunch we begin our trek along some of the most remote sections of trail. Distance approximately 8km.

Arriving at our comfortable accommodation in time to freshen up and relax over a 2 course dinner.

Meals Included: lunch, dinner, snacks

Day 2 | Walk The Yorke Trail / Dhilba Guuranda – Innes National Park / Inneston

From our accommodation today we walk on trails to the historic town of Inneston.
We also enter Dhilba Guuranda – Innes National Park for the first time, stopping at Stenhouse Bay (emus are often seen wandering the trails along this section) before heading inland on the trail to Inneston. This little town is fascinating as it was once a bustling village of workers and miners – many of the historic buildings still stand and connects to the ruins and old infrastructure in and around the Stenhouse Bay jetty. To walk around the town itself it is an extra km or so and can be enjoyed at our leisure before we board our vehicle and head back to our accommodation. Distance wise today we will cover approx. 14km.

Meals Included: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks

Day 3 | Walk the Yorke Trail / Ethel Wreck / West Cape Lighthouse

We return to Inneston and continue our trek along inland bush trails before reaching dramatic coastal scenes and crashing waves of a popular surf break. Finishing off with a sandy beach walk, hopefully the dolphins will join us for this final stunning stretch. On our scenic drive back to our accommodation we have the opportunity to visit a couple of extra sights in the National Park such as the West Cape Lighthouse, Royston Head and Ethel Wreck with some short walks and stories from the past to share with you for those wanting to extend their time on foot. Distance today approximately 14km.

Meals Included: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks

Day 4 | Walk the Yorke Trail

Today is our most challenging walking day with 16km of sand dune scenery, stunning beaches, cliff lines plus remote sections and headlands. Spotting dolphins, whales and sharing the beach with emus is all a possibility!
We return to our home base feeling pretty rewarded after covering over 50km of Walk the Yorke over the past 4 days.

Meals Included: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks

Day 5 | Celebrate / Relax / Drive to Adelaide

A relaxing start to our day, we pack up from our accommodation – today is all about local FOOD AND DRINK.
We initially head to an oyster farm to learn how oysters are farmed in this area as well as a taste if you are keen! We will enjoy light lunch at a local winery including a tasting experience (a huge variety of wines are produced here both red and white). Before leaving the peninsula we call in to a local distillery for a gin and vodka tasting and tour. From here we are about a 2 hour drive back to Adelaide and we should arrive before 5pm.

Meals Included: breakfast, lunch, oyster tastings, wine and gin tastings
