Nature Therapy with Forest Bathing
Nature Therapy with Forest Bathing
Experience a deeper connection with nature. Relax your mind and body.
About Forest Bathing
Originating in Japan, Forest Bathing or ‘Shinrin-yoku’ is a Japanese practice.
Our journey to nature therapy walks
It all started after returning from a pilgrimage trek to Japan in early 2018. Inspired by what we experienced, we started including periods of silence during our guided walks.
After introducing these mindful minutes, our walkers reported the positive impact it was having on them. They enjoyed the chance to appreciate the wonderful nature surrounding them. This small act of connection was inviting moments of nature therapy into our walks.
Seeking a deeper understanding Lisa undertook training. She become a trained Forest Therapy Guide through ANFT (Association of Nature and Forest Therapy) in 2021. Now, Lisa facilitates opportunities for others to connect deeply with nature.
Adelaide and South Australia is very fortunate to have a wonderful natural environment. As this varying landscape is nearby it allows us to offer nature therapy in the forest and also by the coast.
We currently offer ‘nature therapy with forest bathing’ experiences on Kaurna Country. We acknowledge and pay our respects to First Nations peoples and recognise their continued connection to the lands in which we visit.

Nature Therapy by the Ocean
Nature Therapy by the Ocean
Experience the healing benefits through ocean therapy.
Our nature therapy ‘ocean therapy’ experiences in Adelaide occur along a quiet and picturesque beach location. Our meeting point has carparking and bathroom facilities nearby.
Each small group experience includes slow mindful walking along sand dune and beach. The sand dune walk is through coastal vegetation on a compacted trail. Invitations to connect with nature and a tea ceremony with snacks are also included.
Why bonding with nature is important
We work too hard. Finding balance is the new challenge.
Everyday stresses impact on our health in a range of ways both mentally and physically but most of us find it difficult to change our hectic lifestyles or even time or routine for mindfulness.
The benefit nature provides has been scientifically proven with research showing that spending time connecting with nature can reduce high blood pressure and lower heart rates. Plus boost the immune system and increase feelings of wellbeing.
Nature offers a unique therapy that gives us the opportunity to slow us down, deepen our connection to the earth and heighten the senses.
Nature therapy is a way to wellness.
