For this walk you will need good physical fitness behind you – the track is rated Moderate to Hard – it is a hilly walk with plenty of challenges but amazing scenery to make it worth the effort 😉

You must have a good level of fitness for this walk.

Ensure you have adequate sun protection and wet weather gear – we cannot refund you if you do not have the gear needed. If you arrive ill-prepared our leaders can ask you not to walk for safety reasons.

Please bring:

  • Worn in comfortable walking shoes or boots

  • Day backpack (35 litre)

  • Filled water bottles (2+ litres)

  • Any personal medications/blister kit

  • Wet weather gear/sun protection (as per the forecast – we will remind you 48 hours before of the expected weather)

  • walking poles (highly recommended)

  • snacks (fruit, museli bars, trail mix, lollies)

We will provide refreshments (tea/coffee/hot choc) and a morning tea stop approx half way – please remember to advise us of any allergies before the walk so we can cater as best we can. Feel free to bring a few snacks to get you through and please eat breakfast before you walk 🙂

Transport from Norton Summit to Eagle on the Hill is included. The bus departs at 8am from the Scenic Hotel Car Park Norton Summit but please do not park in this car park – behind the hotel near the CFS buildings there are car parks and a toilet.  The community centre also has parking and is a short walk from the hotel. Allow plenty of time to arrive and park.

If the weather forecast is for extreme weather for the Adelaide Hills, this walk will be cancelled the day before.

Your Leaders for this walk are Linda and Kristin. Our leaders carry group first aid kits, emergency communication devices and are experienced and qualified bushwalking leaders.

Our walking program for 2021 is supporting MOSH in South Australia who minimise suicidal harm by offering support services to families and anyone affected by suicide. Help us to support our partner charity MOSH by making a donation either at time of booking or on the day thank you 🙂 For more information on MOSH head to www.moshaustralia.org.au
