No heavy pack carrying, walks to challenge but reward (the views!) and comfy group accommodation.  We stay in stunning coastal accommodation with breathtaking views and space to relax.  We walk along sections of the most gorgeous coastal parts of lower Yorke Peninsula and Innes National Park.

This trip is perfect for beginners or those who want a microadventure with other like-minded women.

Itinerary

Please note itinerary can be subject to change at anytime.

Our drive today will start at 7am from Adelaide. We will commence the 300km journey to Yorke Peninsula stopping at Port Wakefield and Minlaton for comfort stops and lunch – Minlaton has a cool chocolate shop worth a visit!

In the afternoon, we will walk along the stunning coastline between Marion Bay and Meehan Hill Lookout along Walk the Yorke Trail. Distance approx 8km.

We return to our accommodation for a cosy dinner with stunning ocean views and 3 gorgeous balconies to take it in from.

This morning, after breakfast we head to the rockpools on the property for a quick wander, then we drive to Marion Bay for a walk along Walk the Yorke Trail to Stenhouse Bay approx 8km.

This walk will be along a variety of beach, coastal trail and quiet roads. The views along this trail in places are stunning and show the rugged coastline of Innes National Park.

Once at Stenhouse Bay we will enjoy a picnic lunch before hopping on the bus and visiting some of the Parks amazing sites. We will do a few short walks to sites such as Ethel Wreck, West Cape Lighthouse or a 3km beach walk at Pondalowie Bay for those
love to hear pounding surf. We might meet a few emus along the way if we are lucky today!

We return to our accommodation for sundowners and dinner.

Today we return to gorgeous Innes National Park by bus for our final Walk the Yorke experience – Browns Beach to Gym Beach, a 6km dune walk at the far end of the Park.

We end our time on Yorke Peninsula with stunning views of the pristine and untouched Gym Beach. We will enjoy morning tea/lunch here by the sea before commencing our journey back to Adelaide via Minlaton and Port Wakefield with comfort stops along
the way.

  • A minimum of 5 travellers are required for this trip to depart.

Fitness Requirement


A completed medical form is required along with a good level of fitness. We will be walking with day packs carrying up to 5kg. You should be able to walk on a variety of surfaces: undulating trails, rocky paths and soft sand up to 8 hours.
